Safe Finds (“Safe Finds,” “we,” “us”) is a Chrome extension that helps you discover higher-quality small and independent brand alternatives while you shop on Amazon. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
1. Account information — your email address. When you sign in, we send a one-time code to your email. We use your email only to identify your account and send sign-in codes and important account notices. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase.
2. Authentication tokens. After you sign in, a secure session token is stored locally in your browser so you don’t have to sign in every time. It stays on your device.
3. Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own secure checkout — we never see or store your card number. We store only a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status (e.g. “trialing,” “active”).
4. Shopping context (only when you run a scan). When you click Scan, we send our backend the information needed to find good alternatives: the search term you’re scanning, your Amazon delivery location as shown on the page (used to check availability), and any active filters (size, price, material, Prime). This is processed by our backend and by Anthropic’s Claude AI to generate recommendations. We do not build advertising profiles from it.
We do NOT collect: your Amazon order history, your Amazon password, payment card numbers, or your general web browsing across other sites.

These providers process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own advertising. We do not sell data to anyone.
Safe Finds is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
